Jimi Hendrix - "Axis - Bold as Love" Original Vinyl In Excellent condition !
First Pressing - A1 / B1 matrix numbers Stereo.
Excellent condition throughout !
Sleeve ..... Early Laminated version ... clean and bright ... Very glossy with only slight bumping to corners (See `spine` photos) ... straight spine ...very clean interior apart from small biro name written on top edge (see photo - under `David King`) Very minor creasing and localised lifting to laminate. Flip-back edges strong.
Original and RARE lyric poster insert ... in excellent+ condition ... no writing or grubby marks.
Original Poly-lined inner sleeve ... gone a little brown (foxing) through age but clean and no splits.
Vinyl ... Excellent condition .... Very clean and glossy with only minor signs off use ... Light spindle marks, some sleeve withdrawal hairlines and just a couple of light surface scuffs to the beginning of side one.
Audio ... Both sides play really well on my system (inc. SME arm and nearly new Dynavector MC cartridge - very revealing!). Once past the initial rumble and crackle of the run-in grooves, the LP settles down to rich music with no trace of groove damage/distortion all the way to the inner grooves . Just a VERY small degree of faint crackle evident in the quietest passages as you`d find with virtually ANY pressing .... and It`s sure to be improved further with a good cleaning operation !
A very worthy addition to any collection.
I will pack VERY strongly in a custom mailing BOX ( NOT just a card envelope ) with lots of stiffening.
