Description
About This Record. This is an original first pressing USA copy of Jimi Hendrix's gatefold cover LP entitled Axis Bold as Love on USA Tri-color Reprise labels. This is the super dooper rare USA Mono cover with "Made in USA on the back cover (see Photo 7) (NOT the seriously more common Canadian Mono Cover). The Mono Cover has the usual first pressing USA STEREO original tri-color USA Reprise vinyl. There NEVER was a USA copy of this mono LP in the tri-color label, only the later label. See my last photo of my copy I finally found (NOT for Sale!). People often wonder what the label looks like so I decided to share when I sell this, and it helps you understand why I would sell a Mono USA cover which in itself is extraordinarily rare! The cover is not a keeper but it isn't so bad even though I grade it G to be conservative (see photos)! Vinyl has no significant problems (looks VG+ plays EX-). This was my pride and joy until I just found a nicer USA Mono cover and the real McCoy MONO vinyl (not for sale, but you can see last picture so you understand why I am having to sell this one!).

Vinyl Condition. STEREO Vinyl looks VG+ with some light scuffs and paper marks; plays better with no major problems! Background noise of course here or there. Not a bad copy of the vinyl as these things go.
Cover Condition. Good; There was a sticker over the "Mono" in the top left hand corner of the cover that was removed; there are no tears, but there is sticker remnants (no residue) above the lower part of "Mono". And "Sara Warren" wrote her name on the front cover at 10 o'clock. Importantly, there is a staple mark in the top middle front cover; and on the top middle of back cover, although the staple holes are not evident when looking at this from the back cover. There is soiling to the cover, and a three inch seam split in the cover. See photos please.
Innsersleeve. This comes cleaned on my VPI innersleeve in a new rice paper or similar sleeve but also comes with the plain and very browning plain paper innersleeve which this vinyl inhabited. .
Labels. Nice USA Reprise STEREO tri-color first pressing labels from 1968 in EX/better condition; light spindle and other wear; still nice; please see and zoom in on my photos so you can be the judge of this.
About Me. I have been a Record Collector for Decades. I bought this many years ago during my travels and have kept it well-preserved in plastic sleeves and vinyl separated outside the cover.
