JIMI HENDRIX – ‘BAND OF GYPSYS’ - 1970 UK **STEREO** VINYL LP – 2406 002
RARE UK 1970 STEREO, MIS-SPELT LABEL READS BAND OF GIPSIES, RARE PUPPET SLEEVE, NEAR MINT VINYL AND RECORD LABELS, IMPRESSIVE EXAMPLE!!
Released in 1970 this UK RARITY is on the Black and Silver TRACK Record label. The Album comes in its RARE ‘Puppet’ Picture sleeve.
Official Side 1matrix is: 2406 002 A 1 11/Side 2 matrix: 2406 002 B1 11.
Both sides of the label are on the Custom Black and Silver Rectangular Box TRACK logo with ‘Made in Gt Britain’ printed text. Unusually, the album title on both record labels are mis-spelt and read ‘Band of Gipsies’ as opposed to ‘Band of Gypsys’.
The Vinyl record comes in a white polythene Lined record bag and is protected in its Non-Laminated Picture Sleeve which correctly reads ‘Band of Gypsys’. The spine edge reads ‘Jimi Hendrix’, ‘Band of Gypsys’’, ‘Track Super 2406 002’
Both record labels are in STUNNING near mint condition, Lovely BRIGHT UNDAMAGED and UNFADED record labels, with just a few very faint spider lines to the centre spindle hole. Both sides of the Vinyl disc is in SUPER PRESERVED near mint condition, lovely BRIGHT and UNWORN Vinyl which could not disappoint any collector. The ‘Puppet’ Picture sleeve is a very nice example in excellent condition. The sleeve is FIRM, BRIGHT and CLEAN showing a very light crease to the bottom left hand corner of the front of the sleeve. This crease is not visible on the reverse. The edges are in FINE shape with NO splitting. All four corners have very mild bruising. The spine edge is UNDAMAGED and the printed text fully legible. The reverse of the sleeve is in FINE condition. The pink track listing is very bright. The reverse of the sleeve displays the official Track logo.
The album plays very well throughout and sits 100% flat on turntable with NO dishing or Warping.
