Band of Gypsys ist ein Live-Album von Jimi Hendrix, und das erste ohne seine Band The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Es wurde live aufgenommen am 1. Januar 1970 im Fillmore East in New York City, mit Billy Cox am Bass und Buddy Miles am Schlagzeug.

Das Cover war ein körniges Farbphoto von Hendrix, das während der Fillmore East Konzerte geschossen wurde.

Für die englische Erstpressung jedoch, entwarf Track Records ein anderes Cover, welches Puppen zeigte, die Hendrix, Brian Jones, Bob Dylan, und John Peel nachempfunden waren!

Dieses seltene alternative Cover wurde von Polydor in nur drei Ländern veröffentlicht - Skandinavien, Australien and Brasilien!

Dies ist die brasilianische Erstpressung dieses Albums, mit laminiertem Cover.

Das laminierte Cover hat leichte Abnutzungserscheinungen, ist aber ansonsten noch sehr schön und komplett.

Die LP ist ist hervorragendem Zustand - keine Kratzer oder Wischer sichtbar. In der Einlaufrille ist ein Geräusch zu hören, was aber vor der Musik aufhört. Spielt sauber und absolut ohne Knistern durch.

Band of Gypsys is a live album by Jimi Hendrix and the first without his original group, the Jimi Hendrix Experience. It was recorded on January 1, 1970, at the Fillmore East in New York City with Billy Cox on bass and Buddy Miles on drums.

The album cover was a grainy photograph of Hendrix taken during the Fillmore East shows.

However, for the first UK pressing on Track Records, a different cover was used, depicting puppets or dolls that resembled Hendrix, Brian Jones, Bob Dylan, and John Peel!

This rare alternate cover was only released by Polydor in three countries - Scandinavia, Australia and Brazil!

This is a beautiful brazilian first pressing of this rare title, with laminated sleeve.

The laminated sleeve has some wear, but is otherwise in very nice condition and complete.

LP is in outstanding condition - no scratches or marks visible. There is a noise in the run-in groove but it stops before the music starts. Plays through super clean and without any crackle.
