The vinyl album plays to a really great standard. It is lovely and clean and has no visible scuffs or scratches.
It sounds great. No jumps, or sticking, or anything of that nature.
It plays as an Excellent.
The sleeve is not gatefold on this Puppet edition.
It is a single flat cardboard sleeve with a spine.
You can see the sleeve notes and pictures in my photos.
The sleeve has " Hendrix Band of Gypsys" on the front panel The record label has "Band of Gipsies" for the text.
There are no names or stickers on the sleeve, which is great. There is a hand written price of 25 shillings. It might be in pencil but I have left it on for nostalgia.
The sleeve is not as brilliant as the vinyl . Therefore, I have graded it as a VG only for caution. The front panel is clean for the puppet artwork and has some corner wear at the top corners and left corner creasing at the opening edge, as shown in the pictures.
There is an imprint of the record visible.
The rear panel has upper right corner wear, to correspond with the left side wear on the front panel. There is some wear along the top edge, as shown.
Record imprint is not as noticeable on the back panel The 25 shilling hand written price is there, as you can see in the picture.
There are a few light stencil marks to the cardboard. Maybe someone in the past used the sleeve as a board when writing a note . However, they have not torn the cardboard in any way, or removed any of the colour in the artwork.
The inner sleeve is a paper sleeve. I have to assume it is the original. It is plain slightly textured paper, with square corners. No writing or stickers on it Please do note the condition of the sleeve, and if you want more pictures of it, please ask and I will take some additional shots.
The vinyl is really in great condition and it is hard to find this album without scratches and scuffs.
I am sad to part with the album, but circumstances change, and I will be offering a lot more of my own records, in with my store stock very soon. Do keep us in your favourites, or pop back now and then to see the listings
Serious Bidders only please!
Please do always make allowance for some variation in sound, when playing older vinyl on new/ newer turntables. In some cases, a record that is 4 or 5 decades old or more, is not going to sound like the new 180g vinyl of today.
