Jimi Hendrix / Band of Gypsies
31st December 1969 / 1st January 1970 Concert Programme
As I have said in other listings (have a look if you are a Jimi collector), after nearly 40 years of collecting everything and anything to do with JH, difficult personal circumstances are forcing me to sell off some of the prized items of my collection - and this another very desirable item.
Jimi only played these concerts to fulfill a contractual obligation and the group folded within a few weeks. However, Jimi played some memorable music over the 4 shows, including the never-to-be-repeated version of Machine Gun. I honestly believe that if he had lived to the age of 60, he would never have surpassed the playing on that track - thankfully included on the LP release in 1970.
The programme measures approximately 9" x 5" and contains 28 pages, including a 2 page article on Jimi. It is in near mint condition, with just some very slight folding in the past (it has been stored flat for over 15 years).
I want it to go to another Jimi home and not some rip off dealer, so another low starting bid (considering the rarity) and no reserve!! Again, if you are serious about JH, you simply have to have this item - genuine memorabilia amongst the eBay dross.
