JIMI HENDRIX
"Love and Peace Festival" - Polydor 2675023 - 1971 - 3 LPs
This is a real rarity and something I have not seen listed before on eBay. Released in early 1971, this box set purports to be the soundtrack from the Fehmarn Isle Love and Peace Festival from September 1970, at which Jimi Hendrix played his last gig. In fact, it is a collection of already issued tracks from artists such as Hendrix, Clapton, The Who, Taste, Blind Faith and Melanie.
What makes it so rare is the fact that only a few hundred copies were released before the set was pulled and it features a great cover shot of Hendrix playing at the festival on the 6th September 1970.
What makes THIS particular copy so special is that it is in absolutely stunning condition (LPs and box) and contains the original poster, which is mint. Most posters were taken out and put on bedroom walls and precious few ever went back inside the box.
This is such a a rarity. I get tired of the mindless "try getting a better copy" sales crap on adverts but on this occasion I am confident that there cannot be a better, complete copy of this fabulous item.
