Not something that surfaces every day of the week...Hendrix test pressing...in great condition.
So, this is a STEREO TEST pressing from '68 with not-for-sale labels for London Records. Matrix 1L/1L. Stampers 1B/1B - the very 1st stamper under the Buckingham sequence. The labels are consistent with a genuine test pressing from '68 and exhibits the Decca deep groove which was discontinued just a couple of months later. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original '68 MONO cover printed by Robert Stace with pinched spine. 
Vinyl (Ex) In beautiful condition and looks to have only seen very light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are practically silent and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Beautiful audio...great fidelity. Interference is very limited and infrequent. We didn't detect more than a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments. Very little to find fault with and I am grading conservatively to ensure a pleasant surprise.
Cover (Ex-) In lovely condition and has clearly been looked after carefully. Lovely clean front with only a bit of creasing in that bottom left corner. The rear, often the problem area, looks sweet with only light handling and hardly any ageing. Edge wear is very light for this title and the openings are still sharp. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity and lies totally flat.
