Jimi Hendrix "Electric Ladyland" LP Orig Shrink EX+ - NM 1968 Reprise UPGRADE

This auction is for an absolutely stunning copy of Tim Buckley's 1968 Double LP "Electric Ladyland" on Reprise Records (2RS-6307).  This is the original "two tone steamboat" label version, and you would be hard pressed to EVER find a copy in a condition such as this!  This album appears to have rarely ever been played and the condition is EX.  The sleeve only shows only the slightest corner whitening you can imagine from storage, but it is extremely minor.  This album isn't very far from appearing brand new, in almost every regard.  I also playtested it and was very pleased with the results.  Read on for my full description.

The Vinyl:

The vinyl doesn't look to have been played very often at all as far as I can tell.  There are only a couple of the most minor "hairlines" (extremely light surface lines caused by the record being moved around in its sleeve) and other superficial items of no real importance.  Even a sealed copy can obtain hairlines over the course of time, but this LP has managed to only receive a couple and they are very minor, and not affecting playback.  This is your chance to hear this record almost as if you had just purchased it.  The record is in a very special condition not found very often.

The Cover:

As you can see from the pictures, the sleeve of this record appears in excellent condition, as it has been protected by its original shrinkwrap.  By no means does this look like something purchased 46 years ago.  This is the original gatefold cover which has never seen the light of day, as gatefold can't be opened due to the shrinkwrap.  The colors don't appear faded, and are still very vibrant.  There is miniscule corner whitening on the only 2 corners not covered by plastic, barely noticeable.  The inner sleeves are the original printed Reprise white sleeves, which have a few light corner creases. The shrinkwrap itself is a little wrinkly (as shrinkwrap tends to be when opened), includes price tag from original 1968 purchase, and a 1" tear in the middle. It's doing its job by preserving this 2LP set perfectly.


Overall this LP is a great find for any collector, and a real treat for a true Jimi Hendrix fan.  If you already own this LP, the copy offered here would more than likely be an upgrade.  The cover is in excellent, so close to near mint condition, and the vinyl is in a very special condition for an item from this era.  Good luck on the bidding, as you may never find such an amazing copy of this LP ever again!
