Description

  • This is from my own collection which I bought when it came out in 1968 and is a UK stereo first press.
  • Both records are in very good condition. The only noticeable blemish is a 3" scratch mark that passes through the first 2 tracks on side D. ( See photograph.) This doesnt cause these tracks to click or jump.
  • The sound overall is excellent and the vinyl is still very clean and shiny. I would remind that this album will be 50 years old in October!
  • The sleeve is the original "controversial" nude ladies, laminated and printed by the EJ Day group. There is a little light laminate creasing which I have shown in the photographs, and some small record/ring wear, but nothing you wouldn't expect from a well stored and cared for record of 50 years vintage.
  • The original matching white, poly lined inner bag/sleeves are also included.
  • Please note this isn't the later Polydor issue but the original 1st Track label issue, which is becoming rarer and more hard to get all the time. The realistic starting price reflects this.
  • I will include a copy of the story of the record sleeve from Q magazines "Hundred Greatest Covers" and also the front cover of a Sunday Times magazine feature on rock photography featuring Jimi.
  • I have been buying records all my life, since the sixties, but regretfully the time has come to trim the collection. I have an original mono Small Faces, Ogden's also just listed, and will be adding first press early Zeppelin and Bowie albums over the next few weeks.
  • Please feel free to ask me any questions.
