Jimi Hendrix "Electric Ladyland" STILL SEALED, First Pressing? Excellent Hefty!!. Condition is New. Shipped with USPS Media Mail.

For sale is this superb, still sealed copy of Jimi Hendrix's 3rd album from the fall of 1968.  It is a double-album masterpiece.
This is likely a 1ST PRESSING!  With this cover, it is impossible to say for certain what version it is.  However, this one weighs in at a whopping 451 GRAMS!! I weighed another personal copy that is also a first pressing, and this set outweighs it by 10 grams.  Because later pressings are significantly lighter, I suspect that this is the real deal.
As you can see from the pictures, there is a corner tear in the shrinkwrap, and some dinging in that same corner.  The rest of the album is in outstanding shape with most of the shrink remaining tight and still in tact. The colorful album art also remains vibrant.

Grading Scale(Albums graded visually, noted if play-graded. Will play-grade upon request.)

Note: I do not seek to grade “conservatively,” (whateverthat means), I seek to grade ACCURATELY!

Mint (M): Sealedonly, with no damage to the cover.  Suchalbums hardly exist.

Near Mint (NM):Virtually flawless, with only superficial defects like sleeve scuffing, whichcan occur even in an unopened album.  Vinylappears in unplayed condition, and the cover and inner sleeves are free ofsignificant creases or tears.  Labelswill likewise be free of spindle marks! (Unplayed records cannot, by definition, have spindle marks!!!!)  When I use this grade I MEAN IT!  There will bevirtually no background noise, like pops or cracks, and it will have a “justopened” sound.

Excellent (E): Stillfree of any significant defects, with only superficial flaws.  Such albums will show some minor signs ofplay and storage, but will display minimal wear, plenty of shine and will stillbe considered to be in “collectible” condition. Background noise will only be audible during quieter portions of thealbum, if at all, and will not be prominent to the point of affecting soundquality.  Labels may have none, to only afew, spindle marks and covers will have only minor edge and corner wear.

Very Good (VG):An album that has obvious signs of wear, but plays through without skips,jumps, or long repetitive ticks.  It willbe entirely playable with moderate background noise.  Covers might have small stains, edge, spineand/or corner wear.  Vinyl will havesurface level scuffs that may affect playback, but allows the music to shinethrough.  Unlike most sellers, a grade from me of VG does NOT mean that the album is trash!  

Good (G): Analbum that has had a full life, but is still worth listening too.  Sound quality will be diminished bybackground noise, and perhaps some loud pops and very minor skips.  Covers and inner sleeves will have stains,tears or other signs of damage, but will still adequately protect the vinyl andacceptably present the original artwork. Labels will be diminished by spindle marks and other forms of damage.

Poor (P): Analbum on which the surface noise and skipping is too distracting to listen tooenjoyably, and that has a cover with major stains, tears or other significant defects.  I will sell an album in this condition ONLY when it is highly collectiblebecause of its age and/or rarity.

(+/-): I will use plusor minus designations freely to nuance the grading of each album, and to bridgethe gap in describing albums that fall in between grades.

I am not a wholesale collector or a large scale seller.  I’m just an average dude who loves vintagevinyl and collects as a personal hobby.  Asa personal collector, I always ask myself when grading an album how I wouldfeel to receive a record in the condition I describe.  Be assured that I will always strive to be asaccurate as I can with the grades I assign. (I know how important that is to usvinyl enthusiasts, and how frustrating it is when albums come over-graded!)
