A rare item this. Jimi Hendrix Experience Are You Experienced Backtrack 10 Track Records 2407 010. Mono (!)  This copy is the ultra rare mispressed version where most of the tracks actually play full STEREO, highly sought after as this lp's wasn't actually issued in the UK in full stereo until much much later, Early "stereo" copies were actually "mono electronically enhanced to give stereo reproduction on stereo equipment" and sounded terrible. This mispress can be identified from the matrix numbers (see below) and was a mistake by the pressing engineer who used the american Reprise tapes (hence why a few tracks still play mono as the US release had a different track list) and was soon corrected. Now highly sought after and almost impossible to find in any sort of decent condition as most of these got played with a mono grade stylus which ruined the grooves. This copy grades a strong ex with almost no hairlines and it still has a strong sheen, The sound is loud, strong and clear and fairly leaps out at you! The labels show minimal spindle marks and the sleeve which is usually very tatty also grades vg+ with just light shelfwear. Often these are very very worn as the card stock used by track for these lp's seemed to lose the colour print very easily. Best offers considered!

Labels and Sleeve are Mono, but some tracks play STEREO. 
A3, A4, B3 & B4 are mono-masters. 
All other tracks play true stereo, not enhanced.
