Polydor 56139 Jimi Hendrix Experience Hey Joe / Stone Free
Unless specifically otherwise stated, my 7 inch singles were originally purchased in the 1970's and 1980's (including those first issued earlier). Except for those with picture sleeves, most were immediately placed in the poly lined card sleeves shown in these listings, which have helped keep the discs in excellent condition. They have been played exclusively on a Thorens / SME 3012 / Shure V15-III set-up, so wear is minimal. Surfaces are clean - or as clean as the mass production techniques of the day allowed! Bear in mind that records in those days were mass produced and it was rare to buy a single with an absolutely silent surface. These - except where I specifically draw attention to defects in disc or sleeve - are as good as you'll now get!
The scan in this listing is of the disc and cover for sale - what you see is what you'll get! I rate each disc and - except for the card poly lined sleeves - each original sleeve according to the e-Bay / Record Collector agreed standard, which is :
EXCELLENT(EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG):The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD(G):The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
