This one is something of a mystery item. It's 2 LPs of Hendrix live recordings, plain sleeves with no info and pressed onto records with completely unconnected record labels. Plainly not an official release, it was given to me along with a number of legit Hendrix releases that all dated from the early to mid 70s so I guess it's from around then maybe? A bit of research on Discogs (based on comparing track listings and on the on-stage chat between songs) seems to indicate that its an LP called "Foxy Hendrix" based upon the material that it contains, though heaven knows what became of the sleeve if it ever had one. The first LP was recorded at the Isle of Fehmarn on 6 September 1970 and features Billy Cox and Mitch Mitchell. The second LP features the Jimi Hendrix Experience playing in Stockholm, Sweden on 5th September 1967. It's worth noting though that the quality of the actual sound recordings is a bit varied. The Stockholm recordings of the Experience are good and the performances are pretty great. The other LP, recorded at the Isle of Fehmarn, doesn't sound so good - Billy Cox and Mitch Mitchell are all but inaudible and the sound is pretty thin. You'll need to be some sort of Hendrix scholar to listen to that one very often if you ask me. But I guess if you've read this far you probably have more than a passing interest?
