I am selling off my entire Rock and Roll record collection that I have been collecting for over 30 years. My wife is complaining that all my stuff takes up too much of her closet space! First of all, my stuff is not in her closet, it is in MY room, and second, she's got way more sh*t than I do! Anyway, up for bid is a nice playing copy of the legendary AYE LP in super rare MONO! Up for bid is a super rare MONO version of the AYE! As you know, all of Reprise records mono releases were dedicated mono mixes, meaning they are entirely different from the flat, tiny, echoey, and lifeless stereo mixes!
And get this, something must have happened at the factory. Maybe the machine was on acid or the line worker assembling the covers might have been totally fried because he was munching on some happy pizza because the cover is pasted upside down!!!!!!!!
Sound Quality: This is an original 60's pressing and a first pressing of AYE and it sounds fantastic! You all know that the 60's vinyl pressings are the way to go and the recording, mastering,quality, and sound are FANTASTIC! You won't find this stuff anymore. Just take a listen for yourself like I did.
Condition: I grade according to Goldmine standards. That means a VG+ vinyl will be just that, an LP that is in beautiful condtion! I am very picky when it comes to grading and grade to Goldmine standards. I absolutely hate it when dealers ameliorate the condition of the vinyl!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Especially when I am the buyer!! All my Lp's have been stored in my house upright on a shelf in an air conditioned and dry environment, meaning no warping, staining or mildew!
No seam splits, cuts, rips, tears, ugly stains or holes. There is significant ring wear on the front and back cover. The tricolor reprise labels are in beautiful shape with just a few spindle marks. The vinyl is SUPER CLEAN with some hairlines and very light scratches. Plays very very nice. You have got to hear the mono mix!
