   For sale is Jimi Hendrix' The Cry Of Love, originally released in 1971 by Reprise Records with a gate-fold presentation. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched "RL" followed by "Sterling". This signifies that this record was mastered by Robert Ludwig at Sterling Sound, N.Y.C. This is a hallmark of the best possible engineering at his state-of-the-art facility, much sought after by collectors and music lovers for the superior sound quality he produces. I bought this record new, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 and immediately put it away into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This preserves the integrity of any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the record. The inner sleeve is Excellent with a bent corner. The cover is graded as VG+ because of ring wear, shelf rubs and corner blunts. The spine has color loss because of these rubs. The vinyl is visually graded as VG+ because of noticeable surface scratches and sleeve marks. I play graded the record as VG+ with surface noise most noticeable during the quiet passages but very close to Near Mint otherwise. This one of the best copies of this hard to find, original recording. You would be hard pressed to find one in this condition. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I've owned it and still has a lot of life yet. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection.  I have a lot more of Jimi's records as well as albums of all different genres listed in my Ebay store.
