This is an 8-LP 180g limited edition vinyl box set (#4518) of material recorded by Jimi Hendrix between 1964 and 1970.  The set was issued in 2010 by Experience Hendrix and the compilation was produced by Janie Hendrix, Eddie Kramer, and John McDermott. The set is in like-new condition.  I purchased it new when it was released, cleaned it with a VPI record cleaner, treated it with Last record preservative, and demagnetized with a Furutech DeMag.  The text from the label that was on the original shrink wrap says: “Deluxe 8 LP Box Set traces Jimi Hendrix’s Journey from Sideman to Star. Includes more than 45 previously unreleased or commercially unavailable tracks. Nearly four hours of new Jimi Hendrix music including alternate versions of ‘Are You Experienced?’ and unheard songs such as ‘Hear My Freedom’, ‘Lonely Avenue’, Bob Dylan’s ‘Tears of Rage’, and many more.  36 Page Booklet filled with never-before-seen photos and detailed liner notes.”  The records are mastered from the original master tapes and cut by George Marino at Sterling Sound.
