Jimmy Buffett – High Cumberland Jubilee - Barnaby BR6014 - Vinyl 33 1/3 VG+.
High Cumberland Jubilee is the second studio album by Jimmy Buffett. It was recorded in 1971 for Andy Williams’ small Barnaby Records label. This was second album Buffett recorded. Following lackluster sales of Buffett's first album, Down to Earth, Barnaby Records claimed the masters to High Cumberland Jubilee had been lost, hence it has been referred to as Buffett's" lost album." In 1976, after Mr. Buffett left Barnaby, moved to Key West, released numerous albums, and become a star, Lo and Behold, the masters were finally found and this album released.
The record for sale was part of a collection of unusual Jimmy Buffett records that was assembled by a devout Parrot Head over a period of about thirty years. You'll see the price tag on the plastic cover for $20. The record is somewhat out of the mainstream of Mr. Buffett’s records, and so likely appeals to collector assembling a full set of his U.S. recordings, or just want to hear songs you may not have heard - and your friends don’t have.
This record is the size of a typical U.S. long playing record (a/k/a an “LP”) at twelve (12)inches. It is vinyl and not shellac like 78 rpm records. This record has two sides. It comes in its original cardboard cover. The cover is not paper like the typical U.S. 45 rpm record. Inside is a blank sheet “dust cover.” Like most vintage ones, the sheet cover shows folds and cuts.
The record covers all have shelf wear. As near as I can tell, no one in our Family ever played this record. It’s essentially as purchased. Please study the photos and feel free to ask any questions. I will combine shipping from Miami, Florida.
