Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Jimmy Cliff has introduced huge numbers of people on both sides of the Atlantic to the sound of reggae with his pop crossover hits. Besides being a prolific recording artist Cliff was a rarity in that he wrote much of his own material. He also found fame as a film actor and 1972's Harder They Come produced arguably the single most important album in the history of reggae. This Best Of compilation from Hip-O Select collects such cornerstone Cliff cuts as "You Can Get It If You Really Want," "The Harder They Come," "Many Rivers to Cross," "Vietnam," "Wonderful World, Beautiful People," and his moving cover of Cat Stevens' "Wild World."
