Hi. This no reserve auction is for a mega rare white vinyl Jimmy Eat World 7" circa 1993. Sleeve is mint, record unplayed. Here's the background: in 1993 or 94 I went to see some friends of mine play at Berkeley Square. One of the opening bands were some kids I'd never heard of from Arizona on their first tour. No one knew who they were & nobody paid much attention when they played. I thought they were pretty good. I talked to the bass player after they broke their gear down & thought he was cool so I bought the 2 records they had; a 7" split they did with Blueprint and this self pressed item. I have never seen another copy of this record. It is white vinyl. One side says 'Opener b/w 77 satellites', the other says '77 Satellites b/w Opener'. The sleeve is handmade of thin cardboard with a couple scanned photos attached. The front has a cut out color scan of what looks like an attic with a broken mirror (not 100% sure) electric taped to the sleeve and the back is a black & white photo scan of a kid playing drums pasted to the sleeve. The band name is rubber stamped above the back photo. There is a scanned copy of a note inside (pictured). In case you can't read it in the pic it says "Opener and 77 Sattelites/ Jimmy Eat World/ recorded by Mark Trombino at Big Fish, Encinitas/ Band shots- Tom (Carli crossed out) Nuts/ Thank you Tony and Conrad/ An Industry For Outer Space PO Box 30864 Mesa AZ 85275". That's all I know. I've tried doing some research but can't find any reference to this record. It's spent too much time in my closet. I'd like to think it will make someone who collects J.E.W. really happy. Thanks for looking.
