Description
This is Prestige/New Jazz Records NJ 8293, Jimmy Forrest Soul Street, a purple label original mono issue of this rare jazz record,with Van Gelder stamped in the dead wax and featuring, amongst others, Oliver Nelson, Hugh Lawson, and King Curtis. The record is in VG+(+) condition, (a strong VG+) showing a few light marks. The record plays quietly throughout. The original cover has a promo stamp and a bit of tearing on the back and shows some edge wear but is otherwise intact. The labels are excellent and show light spindle marks. This is still an excellent, collector's grade copy of this classic rare original issue. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.
