Description

This is New Jazz Records NJLP-1101, Jimmy Raney Quartet Featuring Hall Overton, a maroon and white, 446 w. 50th st. nyc addressed, deep groove label, original 10" mono issue of this classic record featuring Hall Overton.  The record is in VG++, showing very few light marks on the playing surface. The record plays quietly throughout. There are marks on the dead wax both at the beginning and end of  each side which effect my grading of the record but does not effect the play. The condition is remarkable for a piece this old. The original cover shows some clear tape on the upper seam and spine but is otherwise excellent. The labels show some small tearing and tape residue in the dead wax and label on side 2.  This is an excellent, collector's grade copy of this rare original issue. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.  Please check our other listings as we discount shipping for multiple orders. Thanks for looking.
