Hello there and welcome to my auction. Please read my descriptions carefully before you bid. Please make sure you read everything especially the condition of each vinyl. The grading and criteria are below.

 

 

This is an auction for:  Jimmy Smith – At the organ volume 1 - RARE MONO USA Vinyl LP album.


MONO USA pressing dating from around 1965.

Blue Note – BLP 1551
  • Matrix / Runout (Side A): RVG - BN-LP-1551-A
  • Matrix / Runout (Side B): RVG - BN-LP-1551-B
Has the "Ear" etched into both run-out grooves.

Vinyl Condition: VG (Lovely condition and playback. Some light sleeve rubs and the odd light scratch but really nice condition and payback. There is a very light scratch at the start of side 2 which causes a few light clicks but nothing major. Really nice playback overall. No sticks or jumps. Classic album and a pleasure to listen to).

 

Inner Sleeve Condition: Fair (Blue note company inner is in poor condition. It has large seam splits and several rips and tears but at least is complete).

 


Outer Sleeve Condition:  VG (Sleeve is in very nice condition. There are no seam splits which is pretty rare for these old blue note pressings. Some slight wear to the top left edge but nothing major. Very nice overall condition for its age).  

 

 

I grade my records as follows:

 

M = Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Unplayed and sealed records are referred to as Mint.

Ex = Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have minimal wear and/or creasing.

VG = Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects.

G = Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

Fair = The record shows signs of extensive play and may have many marks and deep scratches but will still play ok but with significantly lower sound quality. Artwork will be rather worn with possible splits, small rips, scrapes, dents, or maybe water damage.
