Description

This is Blue Note Records BST-84117, Jimmy Smith Back To The Chicken Shack, a blue and white, New York USA label original stereo issue of this classic record with Van Gelder and the ear (p) mark stamped in the dead wax. The record is in near mint condition showing  almost no signs of wear and playing quietly throughout. The laminated cover, with the 43 west 61st St., New York 23 address, has a 4" split on the top left seam and a marker's mark on the back, but is otherwise excellent and intact. The labels are excellent and show no spindle marks.  An original thumbnail inner sleeve is included as well. This is a superb, collector's grade copy of this beautiful original Blue Note record with all the proper markers in place. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP-12.
