Has the original blue Prestige Records sticker on vinyl with the "Washington Ave. Bergenfield, N.J" printed on sticker. Rare.

*Because our clients are mostly jazz collectors and connoisseurs, as we are, we made it our policy to only sell vinyl that we grade in VERY GOOD PLUS (VG) condition or better. This vinyl is in our opinion a Very Good Plus, looks and plays great.

Record Grade VG+ = One owner. Very well maintained. The vinyl is in very good plus condition. Only a few visible marks that have no effect on the music. Just listened to both sides of the whole album and it plays beautiful, little to no surface noise at all. Shiny vinyl. Difficult to find this vintage mono record in such great condition. (see pictures) 

Jacket Grade VG+ = Shiny, clean, well maintained. No staining. No Splits. We grade the jacket a VG+ to Near Mint. No tape. This record is from our personal collection and has been kept in plastic for many years. Has the original SAM GOODY of Valley Stream, New York price tag sticker on rear lower left jacker and the writing "9N239". A very clean jacket for a 49 year old album. (see pictures)

Jimmy Witherspoon (August 8, 1920 - September 18, 1997) was an American jump blues singer.
James Witherspoon was born in Gurdon, Arkansas. He first attracted attention singing with Teddy Weatherford's band in Calcutta, India, which made regular radio broadcasts over the U. S. Armed Forces Radio Service during World War II. Witherspoon made his first records with Jay McShann's band in 1945. He first recorded under his own name in 1947, and two years later with the McShann band, he had his first hit, "Ain't Nobody's Business," a song which came to be regarded as his signature tune.
