Description

Excellent copy of the 1960 Columbia “6 Eye” stereo original LP from Jo Stafford “Jo + Jazz” (Columbia CS 8361, stampers XSM51403-1A/XSM51404-1C, DEM0 sticker on label) considered by many to be her best album. She is accompanied by some killer jazz musicians (with lots of solos) such as Ben Webster, Johnny Hodges, Lawrence Brown, Harry Carney, Don Fagerquist, Ray Nance, Jimmy Bowles, Conte Candoli, Bob Gibbons, Mel Lewis and Joe Mondragen all arranged and conducted by Johnny Mandel.

The tracklist is: Just Squeeze Me/For You/Midnight Sun/You’d Be So Nice To Come Home To/The Folks Who Live On The Hill/I Didn’t Know About You/What Can I Say After I Say I’m Sorry/Dream Of You/Imagination/S’Posin’/Day Dream/I’ve Got The World On A String.

The glossy LP looks and plays great with just a few light sleeve scuffs and superficial marks and some very light occasional surface noise-nothing at all distracting. The label has a factory “FOR DEM0NSTRATION USE ONLY” sticker. The cover is also in excellent condition with no splits, tears or cutouts. The back cover is stamped “DEM0NSTRATION NOT FOR SALE”.
