This is an 8 LP, 7 release set of Joan Baez work that spans her early work from 1962-1968. The set includes: 1. "Noel", VSD 79230, 1966. This includes Joan's homey take on all your favorite Christmas carols. The condition of the record is excellent with no visible wear. The cardboard sleeve is near mint with scuffs at the corners. The paper sleeve is intact. 2. "David's Album", VSD 79309, 1969. This is Joan's tribute to her husband's peaceful protest against the war in Vietnam. Those of us who are her contemporaries have our own stories and our own pains from that time. This is a precious work of art and history. The condition of the record is excellent as is the cardboard sleeve.The paper insert is present. 3. "Farewell, Angelina", VRS 9200, 1965. This is packed with Dylan songs as well as folk songs and a little Woody Guthrie. The record condition is very good to excellent with little to no wear. The cardboard sleeve is near mint and the paper sleeve is intact. 4. "Any Day Now", 2 LP set, VSD 79306, 1968. This is Joan's tribute to Bob Dylan. She was one of the first artists to rrecord Dylan songs and was iinstrum,ental in his rise to fame.The record condition is excellent with little to no visible wear on both LPs. The cardboard sleeve is very good plus with minimal age stains but almost no scuffs. and the paper sleeves are intact. 5. "Joan", VRS 9240, 1967. The condition of the record is excellent with no visible wear. The cardboard sleeve is excellent with scuffs only at the corners and the paper sleeve is intact. 6. "Joan Baez in Concert", VSD 2122, 1962. This is Joan, the incomparable translator of folk into the contemporary world.The condition of the record is excellent as is the cardboard sleeve. The paper sleeve is intact. 7. "Joan Baez in Concert Part 2", VRS 9113, 1963. The conditionn of the record is very good to excellent with minor wear on one side. The cardboard sleeve is excellent and the paper sleeve is present. If you know and love Joan Baez, this is an unbelievable collection of her early work and to be treasured. If you don't know her, this is an adventure into the early folk and gospel history of our country birthed into the 1960's Vietnam War era and is itself the history of Americana. Her 60 plus years (and ongoing) in the music scene has seen her collaborate with many singers of all ilks and styles. She was inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame in 2017 and continues to speak out for social issues of all kinds as she has done all her life. She comes from Scottish and Mexican heritage and has always expressed the causes of peace, freedom and all-inclusion. She is an American treasure.
