Here is a somewhat elusive children’s record narrated by actress Joan Crawford.

This RCA Victor record was released 1953 under Andre Previn’s conducting. The classic children’s book, upon which this recording is based, was written by author Charles Tazewell. Both the record and sleeve indicate that this is the “EP” or “Extended Play” version of the recording. “Part 1” is the front side; flip it over where the story is “Concluded”.

The record includes a Webster-Chicago metal record adapter insert.

The vinyl, metal adapter, label, and sleeve are all in great condition with minor wear from age.  Please note that we did not play the record but it appears free of scratches.

The sleeve is made of rigid cardboard. It measures 7 inches x 7 inches and includes a shallow cutout along the right edge to enable the record to be pulled out easily. The front has charming illustrations while the back features lists of other RCA children’s 45 EP records.
