Incredibly rare personal test pressing for Joanne Vent’s 2nd album that was never released. This would have been A&M SP 4255

This is a truly exciting, one of kind find - as rare as they come…. Please see detailed information below.

After extensive web searches - I’ve confirmed that her 2nd album (1970?) was recorded, but never released - for reasons unknown. I cannot find any other examples of a pressing like this or even clips of these songs. There is a clip online of the first track titled: Joanne Vent & Muscatel - Qualified. This track was re-recorded in 1972 and appears on the self-titled album from Vent’s next venture - White Cloud.

This album came in a ‘test pressing cover’ (blank on reverse / no spine text) with the cover image from her first album affixed to the blank/white outer sleeve, 'THE BLACK AND WHITE OF IT IS BLUES' (SP 4165, released in 1968-9). I assume this is because a cover design was never created for the unreleased album. Further confusing matters - someone hand wrote the title and tracks from the debut album on the record label (not what’s on the vinyl). Original paper sleeve is included. I have stored the album in a mofi anti-static sleeve which will be included when shipping.

I have play tested the entire album and listed the tracks below. Several are cover songs that I could identify. For the other tracks (presumably originals) I have taken a guess at the title based on the lyrics. 

The vinyl shows visible wear and plays with light noise throughout (noticeable between songs and quieter parts). It’s still a thoroughly enjoyable listen. The last track on side 2 has heavier noise in the last ~20 seconds or so and skipped just prior to the end of the song (mere seconds to go). Top quality Monarch press.
