Pidgeon
The first album released by the cult singer Jobriath Salisbury and released in the U.S only on the Decca label in 1969.  EXCELLENT US PSYCH PROG ROCK........their sole LP still remains largely undiscovered despite it containing some great moments and really inventive music at times. The much acclaimed Jobriath (now deceased) went on to become a Bowie-a-like singer (although many claim that Bowie actually re-invented himself in the wake of Jobriath), who has achieved cult status with glam-rock fans around the world including Morrissey who has cited him to be an influence on his own career. This early album has a very West Coast Psychedelic feel similar to bands like The Strawberry Alarm Clock, although it is possible to hear the early stages of Jobriath's later glam-rock direction.
