This handsome gatefold LP from Deutsche Grammophon (LPM 18069, German pressing, AH tulip label, mono – no stereo edition exists) features Eugen Jochum and the Berlin Philharmonic’s resplendent account of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 in A Major Op. 92, recorded in the rich acoustics of Jesus-Christus-Kirche, Berlin during 12-14 November 1952.
This is a large-scale reading, but with a thrust and majesty that make it highly memorable. The fine mono anaolog sound is from DG’s top drawer – a wonderful disc.
There are fine liner notes (uncredited) on the reverse side of the jacket, printed in German, English, French, and Spanish.
CONDITION:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the gatefold jacket is VERY GOOD. There is a 2” split at the lower spine, as well as edgewear, minor discoloration, and mild shelfwear. However, the jacket remains solid and highly attractive in appearance – overall, a very good collector’s copy.
The condition of the LP itself is EXCELLENT. Although the surfaces are not absolutely silent, really this is a fine copy and the playback is enjoyable. Those requiring a flawless or near-MINT copy are kindly advised to look elsewhere. Overall, this is an excellent collector's copy.

This LP has been carefully cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine. All LPs are provided with a new Nagaoka (or Nagaoka-style) inner sleeve.
