Description

An insane record with just the two artists mentioned in the title. Chambers is on either drums / percussion or shows his chops off on the piano. Larry young plays the organ. So this is a duo album, but sounds nothing like one. To me, it sounds a bit futuristic and trippy. Spooky in a good way.


‘NY State Of Mind’ by Nas was sampled from the third track called ‘Mind Rain’, a definite highlight in the album. Just a nod to DJ Premier and crate digging for samples out there.


Fantastic album, none other like it to this day, and Joe Chambers was, even much later into his career, such an innovator
