Influential and prolific reggae producer, Joe Gibbs employed Lee Perry and then Winston 'Niney' Holness as engineers before forming Mighty Two, a long-term collaboration with engineer Errol Thompson. The backing for many releases was provided by his studio band The Professionals, whose members included Sly Dunbar, Robbie Shakespeare, Earl "Chinna" Smith, and others.
