Inscription on dead-wax is YAX 3883 1U indicating first pressing.
Laminated flip-back cover made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd.
Recorded at Lansdowne Studios under the supervision of Denis Preston.

Cover Condition:
 
Excellent. No split seams. No markings. No discernible ring wear. Very slight creasing on front upper left corner and back upper and lower left corners. Remains in lovely condition 44 years after manufacture.

Record Grading:

The grading of this record is the result of play back using the following equipment chain: Linn LP12/modified Rega RB300 arm/Shelter 901 MKII moving coil cartridge, with signal feed into Linn Linto phono amplifier, into Graham Slee Solo headphone amplifier with AKG 701 headphones. This is an exceedingly revealing playback chain.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Your personal playback system will neither extract nor reveal the exact listening experience of the components I use. A different cartridge will track, extract and reproduce with its own unique characteristics. 


Record Condition:
The grading of this disc is as follows, from notes taken during dedicated listening:

Side One:
1. Stephano's Dance. Right channel is clean whereas left channel suffers tics and distortion during the thematic statement. Joe's solo on left is clean throughout, Ian's solo enters with some distortion then becomes clean. Both Norma's solo (right) and Amancio's solo (left) remain largely clean with only some distortion/break-up. Thematic reprise enters with momentary distortion but the remainder is clean.

2. Spring Low, Sweet Harriott: With the exception of 2 tics upon the opening notes this track is clean and unaffected by any distortion.

3. Ballad For Goa: Quarter second distortion upon opening note, followed by nasty distortion during Norma's thematic vocals . The entry of Joe's solo, is by remarkable contrast clean, as are the solos by Norma and Amancio. The thematic reprise demonstrates lo-level crackle and there is one last splat of distortion just before the final section section leading to fade out.

Side Two:

1. N.N.N.T.: Right channel remains clean. Left channel has a series of small sharp tics and some distortion. Solos by Joe, Dave and Bryan as well as the thematic reprise remain clean.

2. Hum Dono: Opens clean, then a series of distortions during Joe's solo,  then a series of distortions during Joe's solo, but which stops immediately upon the entry of of Amancio's solo, but does return intermittently as the solo progresses. The thematic head is mostly clean with a nasty distortion on final note played.

3. Jaipur: Opens clean. Distortion is present during Amancio's solo but is absent during the majestic duets between Norma & Ian and Amancio & Joe. Nasty distortion splats during the thematic reprise.
