Description
Vanishingly rare 4-track jazz EP from 1955 in the Nixa Jazz Today Series (NJE 1003) featuring the Joe Harriott Quartet. The stellar alto sax man is backed superbly by Max Harris (piano), Lennie Bush (bass) and Phil Seaman (drums).
All Harriott's original releases from the 50s and 60s are sought after and very collectable.
The thin flipback sleeve has a little wear to the back and some feathering to the opening edge but is really decent order overall with no splits, tears or writing. It grades VG++.
The vinyl has marks and hairlines but no feelable scratches. There is a 'splatter' effect on one side, probably due to an earlier plastic inner sleeve. It plays through well with some underlying surface noise and grades VG.
The labels are excellent and have minimal wear.
Supplied in separate plain white card sleeve. and a plastic sleeve to protect the EP sleeve.
VERY hard to find in any condition.
