Description
Blue Note 4189 with New York USA address on both labels; 43 West 61st St address on the bottom of the back cover. Record has “ear” and “van gelder” inscribed in the dead wax. 5 tracks with McCoy Tyner, piano; Bob Cranshaw, bass; Elvin Jones, drums. Includes Henderson’s classic interpretation of his own tune “Inner Urge”. Cover: VG. Partial record ring on front and back cover. Bottom edge is split for 9”. There is some paper loss on the very close to bottom edge also a small triangle is torn away at the bottom corner of the front cover. There is a punch hole indicating promotional copy on the bottom corner with slight tear around the hole. There is also a crease at this bottom corner. There is some aging on the back cover and a couple of small dark spots on the margin on the back cover. Record: VG+ or better. Visually shows light wear with some surface rub marks, mostly on Side 2. All are surface rubs, not scratches. The record has apparently been played a number of times. There are a few short, light clicks but for the most part there is no surface noise other than somewhat more frequent light audible on the ballad “You Know I Care” by Duke Pearson. Balance of the record has only the slight surface noise described. Audibly checked.
