Description
This is Blue Note Records BLP 4140, Joe Henderson Page One, a blue and white New York USA Microgroove label original mono issue of this classic record with the ear (p) mark and Van Gelder stamped in the dead wax. The record is in VG condition showing scratches on both sides that cause background noise below the music, most pronounced at the beginning of side one and the end of side two. However, the record plays with no skips or distortion. The laminated cover, with the 43 West 61st St. New York 23 address, has loss on both bottom corners probably due to a pet cat and some age discoloration on the back but is intact. The labels show spindle marks and sticker residue. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12 in mono mode. This is still a nice initial "play" grade copy of this classic original mono Blue Note. I do not usually offer records in this condition, but I've made an exception for this rare piece and I have been listing a few more like this over the last few days. Please check our other listings as we discount shipping for multiple wins. Thanks for looking.
