NOTE:
Joe Hisaishi is one of the greatest Japanese composers of all time and is world-famous for his collaboration with Oscar-winning director and founder of Studio Ghibli, Hayao Miyazaki.
Hisaishi's vast catalog includes over 100 soundtracks and numerous original compositions including symphonies and concertos.
For his debut on the Deutsche Grammophon label he released the album A Symphonic Celebration, which presents state-of-the-art recordings of his extraordinary work made for animated cinema. Recorded in London with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by the composer, it includes famous pieces arranged by Hisaishi for symphony orchestra.
