Description

Joe Lee Wilson “In The Great City” LP (Powertree, 1964)

 

Sleeve: VG+ (about .25” to .5” of wear/splitting at corners of opening)

Record: VG+


Unique debut from the idiosyncratic vocalist, who went on to work with Archie Shepp.  On the tiny Powertree label.  Split evenly between standards and originals, including the Gilles Peterson favorite “Solo Suyo” and the great “Sheriff Row.”   Features Bob Cunningham, Ray McKinley, and Rudy Lawless.


All records are original US pressings, unless otherwise specified.  I do not sell reissues.

 

Grading is on the following scale: M/NM/VG++/VG+/VG/VG-/G+/G/etc.

I do not employ E+/E/E- grading, and I do not describe any unsealed records as Mint
