Description

Zoot Sims and Joe Newman do indeed lock horns (but in a friendly and swinging way) on this original 1957 release with Johnny Acea on piano and arranging, Oscar Pettiford on bass and Osie Johnson on drums.


This record has has been cleaned and play-graded. The record surfaces are rated as VG+, with quiet surfaces and no needle-sticks or loud, repetitive clicks. The record cover is in VG condition - the front cover is clean and unmarked with almost no ring wear. The back cover is a bit stained, has visible tape, and has my stamp in the upper left corner (Sorry). The spine is intact but worn, but the upper seam is taped, and the lower seam is beginning to split at the opening (see photos). The labels both are clean and unmarked and have little spindle wear.


This record is from my personal collection and I have decided it’s now time to start selling most of my records. I bought this LP in Used condition around 50 years ago and it has been carefully stored and occasionally played since.
