Disc Jockey Copy Pressed in 1958, Nice Deep Track; Vinyl is VG+, very nice; came in a padded sleeve without a cover.
Please see other listings for some inexpensive good jazz and some very rare good jazz records also. The DJ who collected these records being listed I believe collected for three reasons as many common records of the day are noticeably missing. For the most part the Blue Note; Prestige; Impulse; West Coast; Pacific jazz have been listed; whether or not the next records listed will be the chased after records in the future is yet to be determined; an example would be a 1964 Sweets Edison Sue record that will be listed shortly; I listened to the first song each side and it is some of the sweetest, innovative laid back interpretation of "What is there to Say" and "Green Dolphin Street" that I've heard; it's the mono version and has a $40.00 NM value but because it didn't make a "must have for a complete jazz collection" it may not receive a bid at a very low price. The owner of these records says sell so sell we will but with less listing time.
All the records I am listing now are from one collection; almost all have the DJ's name written in marker; stamped (sometimes stamped more than once (small stamp) or have a small name and address sticker on the back cover, usually top center or top right and almost always in an open area not covering liner notes. Personnel may be bracketed and if play times weren't listed by the record manufacturer they are often noted by the songs. The front covers are usually very clean and most have little to no ring bulge but some do show light ring wear.
None of these records have been played since the mid eighties till I picked them up in July; some of these records have not been played since 1960 or 61. Some were stored in open boxes till the mid eighties while the others were on shelves at which time in the mid eighties they were all put into plastic storage boxes. At a minimum the records will have paper dust, some could have a light film; but most have beautiful trail offs indicating light play. I will grade the cover and vinyl separately.
Cover: VG+ means no names, intact seams and good color back. VG means intact seams but the names or stickers; promo stamp will be on the back; G means the front corver will be nice but there will be split seams and names; P means considerable yellowing on back cover, splits, DJ name on back but liner notes will be legible and in the plastic sleeve I ship them in; will still look good on the shelf.
Vinyl: NM will be clean and no scratches; VG + Might have one or two scratches but otherwise NM possibly needing a cleaning; VG Might have a number of light scratches you cannot feel and from this collection will likely play close to NM; G will have numerous scratches, one or two you might feel but will still be a worthy listen without distortion. You can depend on my rating as I will not argue about issuing a refund.
I'm selling these records for a friend, I have been collecting records for quite a few years and have over 3,000 of my own so I can tell you without reservation that many of the records I am selling now are very rare, hard to find in decent shape if at all. I grade very critically as if for my own purchase because I hate white noise, even if it is a rare record I want it to play well. I love going through DJ records because you never know what you're going too find.
These records are selling at the price the auction brings; hopefully the more records I list, the more viewers there will be with interest and I am listing most at 99 cents or 9.99; there will be a few exceptions and those will be the records I'm willing to buy myself if there are no bids higher than the listing price and if I bid a little low it's because I like more than one.

Over $20.00 the mailer will be included overseas and $1.00 will be deducted for US shipments, just actual postage cost will be invoiced if you request an invoice.
