Hello! up for auction here is a copy of Led Zeppelin III autographed by legendary Zep drummer John 'Bonzo' Bonham! the signature is in black pen and found on the back of the record jacket, along the neckline of Bonham's picture, still nice and sharp after many years. the 'engine' behind the Led Zeppelin train, Bonham is known still and likely forever will be, as one of the greatest drummers who ever played, but met his untimely death in 1980, putting an end to one of the greatest bands the world has ever seen. not too often do his signatures come up for sale, so don't let this one pass you by! this original UK vinyl was released in 1970, and is numbered 2401002. the record jacket has some flaws, as seen in the photos. some ringwear, creasing and bubbling, rounded corners, etc. but for its age is in decent condition. the record itself is absolutely pristine, looking like it came off the press just last week, even though personally i have owned this record for over 8 years. i purchased this record on eBay in 2010, and while this signed record does not come with an 'official' certificate of authenticity, it does come with a letter typed and signed by the previous owner, which describes in detail the story of where this signature was obtained. this previous owner was kind enough to add this letter with the record, although after careful consideration and years of in-depth studying of John Bonham's signature before and after i acquired this, i have no doubts about this signature being the real thing. it even includes a doodle on Robert Plant's face, drawn by Bonham, known by everyone who knows the story of Led Zeppelin as a good friend of Plant's. depending on what one is looking for in an autographed item, i know this can attract or detract from interest, but in my opinion, it only made me believe even more that this was genuine.
