Description
Collection of five unplayed John Cale albums, all original pressings, all with original inner sleeves, all in excellent condition with one exception (see below.)
Cale was an original member of the Velvet Underground, playing viola, bass and piano among other instruments on their first two albums. After leaving the Velvets, he went on to produce some of the most influential albums ever recorded including the Stooges self-titled debut, Patti Smith's Horses, the Modern Lovers debut and, of course, his own albums.
1971 Vintage Violence, CBS Records original UK pressing. Please note that the US release was a year earlier in 1970.
1971 Church of Anthrax, Columbia. This collaboration between Cale and Terry Riley was rescued from a cutout bin in 1973 and is the original pressing. Still in shrink wrap, which is opened.
1975 Slow Dazzle, Island. Unplayed but the vinyl has scuffs from the inner sleeve which may or may not affect playability.
1975 Helen of Troy, Island.
1979 Sabotage/Live, Spy/I.R.S. Unopened promo album (stamped in gold on back) still in sealed shrink wrap. Recorded live at CBGB and released on the Cale-owned Spy label.
