Description

This is Impulse Records A-95, John Coltrane Ascension, a black and orange labeled, original mono issue with Van Gelder stamped in the dead wax. This is the rarer original edition 1 without any other notation in the dead wax. The record is in near mint condition, showing almost no signs of wear and playing quietly throughout. The laminated gate-fold cover is excellent and intact The labels are excellent as well with no spindle marks. An original inner sleeve is included. The record has been cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. A superb, collectors grade copy of this classic original issue.
