Description
John Coltrane (with Donald Byrd, Red Garland, Paul Chambers, Arthur Taylor) BLACK PEARLS Prestige 7316, recorded 1958. Black-on-gold label. Bergenfield address on jacket but no address on label. Grainy pressing: sounds like the faucet is left on through the whole record. That said, it’s unmarked and damage free, beautiful. M- relative to how it was minted. Jacket NM: one back cover corner fold is coming undone, but no biggie.
Here’s the eleventh of about 50 batches of records from a fastidious NY-area collector with excellent taste. One owner since release in most cases. Very many of these were played either very little or very carefully. They’ve been carefully play-graded as well. Low starts, as you can see, and almost no reserves. Bid with confidence. Combined shipping available within reason. I realize these are about the worst photos ever; let me know if there's something you need to see but can't.
