John Coltrane – Blue Train BLP 1577 Orig Mono RVG Deep Groove
Blue Train mono microgroove LP w/ 47 WEST 63rd NYC on label
Dead wax has the RVG “ear” symbol BN-LP-1577-A… then continuing around counter-clockwise the number 9 over the letter M (or W over 6, depending on which way you hold the record)
The record shows slight signs of wear but plays fine with occasional pops or tics in the pressing.
The label shows no spindle wear and contains no markings, writing or other imperfections.
Also includes original Blue Note inner sleeve.
The jacket is equally superb with no splits, tears throughout. Front is clean and shiny. Back shows tiny traces of ring wear with no pealing, markings or abrasions.
All in all, despite its age, this original, deep groove first mono pressing is in fantastic condition. Copies of this first issue pressing have sold for $700.00 and were not in this condition. It is a true treasure for the serious jazz enthusiast and record collector.

Please note that surface markings you may see in the dead wax are the reflections of the stucco ceiling.
