• John Coltrane - Blue Train MONO Blue Note 1577 Record

Record Description:

• Side 2 is in excellent + shape; shows some scuff marks scattered on it
• Side 1 is in fair shape; appears to have a coating of haze on it (see image #5 and read commentary)
• Cover is in very good condition; color is preserved and sharp and vibrant on front; shows rips on it's binding side (see image)
  
  
• Record labels are intact and readable on record, shows no signs of fading or peeling; blue mark on one side (see image)
• Vinyl record is not warped
  
  
• Dust jacket is in great shape and shows no rips; colors show no signs of fading and are sharp and vibrant
  
  
• Record Cover shows no creases, color is preserved; shows zero signs of fading; faint scratches and rub marks on front
• Markings on the back cover; some are in pen; sticker residue close by '1577', stains and rub marks on far left all along its side; minor wear on all corners; some corners in better shape than others
  
  
• Record has not been tested; no way of knowing if side 1 will have any issues on playback or if this can be cleaned 
  
  
  

Up for auction is a rare John Coltrane - Blue Train MONO Blue Note 1577 Record.

Side 2 is in excellent + condition with minimal signs of wear and Side 1 is another story.  

I tried cleaning Side 1 with a 50/50 water rubbing alcohol mix to see if that would help.  
Looks exactly the same as it did before, left it alone and then took pictures.

It may need a stronger cleaner solvent or something else to buff this out.

It's worth looking into.
