"Blue Train"
Classic Records 200g vinyl MONO
Remastered by Bernie Grundman from the original master tapes

Up for sale is John Coltrane' Blue Train. Pressed on heavy weight 200g vinyl. This is the MONO release, a recent near mint first pressing mono Blue Train sold for $3000. This is the closest approximation in sound quality to those valuable original pressings, down to replicating the deep groove on the label!

In short this is the reissue that tries to recreate the sound of the original Microgroove pressing. Bernie Grundman Studios refurbished a Westrex Scully cutting lathe with all tube electronics (just like Van Gelder used) to get the sound as close as possible to the original. Michael Hobson (of Classic Records) said the original pressing was used as a reference when creating this reissue.

Out of print and rare!

Vinyl Condition:

Record graded NM, and has been play graded once. Record plays beautifully.

 

Jacket:

Jackets graded EX, conservatively graded.


Other:
Includes the original outer sleeve with Classic Records sticker.
