PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS (NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
A stone classic, easily one of THE most influential jazz LPs of all time and one of the Holy Grails for Jazz collectors. Insanely hard to find true first mono pressing on the Atlantic black and silver label from 1959. LP side 1 is a VERY nice VG with a few VERY light paper scuffs and side 2 is VG/VG- only because of 3 small scratches that can just barely be felt. Of the 3 songs on side 2, Naima is really the only one that has a few lightly audible clicks during the quieter passages, but that's to be expected with almost any copy that isn't near mint. This is a perfect copy to play and ENJOY without worrying about troubling your needle. Cover is VG with NO splits, NO seams, a tiny fray spot on the lower left hand corner, a bit of ring and a light top left hand corner bend. Even comes with original Atlantic paper inner sleeve!
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING: MINT (SEALED) NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
