From Sweden, this is Historic Performances Records 1-2-3-5-6, John Coltrane Live In Europe, the complete series of five privately produced albums of live broadcasts from 1961-1963 featuring the classic quartet plus Eric Dolphy. Each has a different performance so please check photo #7 for the complete listing. Historic Performances #4 was not Coltrane and is not included. These five records were originally sold separately but are collected here (maybe for the first time) as a complete set. The records are all in near mint condition, showing almost no signs of wear. They do, however, have pressing discoloration that does not affect the play. There is also some very light background crackle audible at the very beginning of a few of the first sides. This quickly dissipates and the records play quietly. All color coded covers are excellent and intact. The blank color coded labels are excellent with little or no spindle marks. The records were played on a Linn Sondek LP12 in mono mode and cleaned on a VPI 17. These are excellent collector's grade copies of these great live recordings offered together for your collecting convenience.
